The UA26-30-10RA 230-240V 50Hz / 240-260V 60Hz is a 3-pole contactor designed for capacitor switching, suitable for installations where the peak current exceeds 100 times the nominal RMS current. Delivered with damping resistors, these contactors must be used without additional inductances. Before re-energization, capacitors must be discharged, ensuring a maximum residual voltage at the terminals of ≤50V. The electrical durability of these contactors is 250,000 operating cycles for Ue < 500V and 100,000 cycles for 500V ≤ Ue ≤ 690V. The UA..RA contactors feature a special front-mounted block that enables the serial insertion of three damping resistors into the circuit, effectively limiting current peaks during capacitor bank energization. This configuration also facilitates capacitor precharging, reducing secondary current peaks when the main poles engage. The resistors help dampen the highest current peaks during switching, regardless of their level. These block-type design contactors include three main poles, one built-in auxiliary contact, an AC-operated control circuit with a laminated magnet, and compatibility with a wide range of accessories.
