AF96 contactors are designed for controlling power circuits up to 690 V AC and 220 V DC. They are primarily used for managing 3-phase motors as well as non-inductive or slightly inductive loads. Featuring an advanced electronic coil interface, AF series contactors support a wide control voltage range. With just four coil variants, they cover voltages from 24 to 500 V AC (50/60 Hz) and 20 to 500 V DC, enabling universal application without the need for coil replacement. These contactors can handle significant voltage fluctuations and come with built-in surge protection, eliminating the need for external suppressors.
The AF series 3-pole contactors are of a 1-stack block-type design and include three main poles. They support the addition of front and side-mounted auxiliary contact blocks. The auxiliary contacts are mechanically linked, in accordance with Annex L of IEC 60947-5-1, and include normally closed (N.C.) mirror contacts that comply with Annex F of IEC 60947-4-1. Operable on both AC and DC control circuits, the AF96 contactors are also compatible with a wide range of accessories to suit various application needs.
