The AF38 4-pole contactors are designed for controlling power circuits up to 690 V AC and 440 V DC. They are ideally suited for switching non-inductive or slightly inductive loads, such as resistance furnaces. These contactors feature an advanced electronic coil interface that supports a wide control voltage range (Uc min. to Uc max.). Just four coil variants cover voltages from 24 to 500 V AC (50/60 Hz) and 20 to 500 V DC, allowing for global compatibility without the need for coil replacement.
AF contactors efficiently handle wide control voltage fluctuations and come with built-in surge protection, eliminating the need for external surge suppressors. The AF series 4-pole contactors follow a block-type design and include four normally open (4 N.O.) main poles. They support both front and side-mounted auxiliary contact blocks. The auxiliary contacts are mechanically linked, conforming to Annex L of IEC 60947-5-1, while the N.C. mirror contacts meet the standards of Annex F of IEC 60947-4-1. The control circuit can operate on either AC or DC, and a comprehensive range of accessories is available to suit various applications.
