AF16 contactors are designed for controlling power circuits up to 690 V AC and 220 V DC. They are primarily used for managing 3-phase motors and non-inductive or slightly inductive loads. These contactors feature an advanced electronic coil interface that supports a wide control voltage range—from 24 to 500 V AC (50/60 Hz) and 20 to 500 V DC—with only four coil variants covering all voltages. This allows a single coil to adapt to global voltage standards without the need for replacement. AF contactors are built to handle significant voltage fluctuations and include integrated surge protection, eliminating the need for external suppressors. The AF series 1-stack, 3-pole contactors are of a block-type design, offering three main poles and one built-in auxiliary contact. They also support front and side-mounted auxiliary contact blocks. These auxiliary contacts are mechanically linked, in accordance with Annex L of IEC 60947-5-1, and include N.C. mirror contacts compliant with Annex F of IEC 60947-4-1.
