AF09 contactors are designed for controlling power circuits up to 690 V AC and 220 V DC. They are primarily used for operating 3-phase motors as well as non-inductive or slightly inductive loads. These contactors feature an electronic coil interface that accommodates a wide control voltage range—from 24 to 500 V AC (50/60 Hz) and 20 to 500 V DC—using only four coil variants. This design allows a single coil to be used across various global voltage requirements without needing replacement. AF contactors are engineered to handle significant voltage fluctuations and come with integrated surge protection, eliminating the need for external suppressors. The AF series 1-stack, 3-pole contactors are of block-type construction, offering three main poles and one built-in auxiliary contact. They also support front and side-mounted add-on auxiliary contact blocks. These auxiliary contacts are mechanically linked in compliance with Annex L of IEC 60947-5-1, and include N.C. mirror contacts conforming to Annex F of IEC 60947-4-1. Operable on both AC and DC control circuits, the AF09 contactors are compatible with a wide range of accessories, providing versatility and dependable performance for various applications.
