The AF09 4-pole contactors are designed for controlling power circuits up to 690 V AC and 440 V DC. They are primarily used for switching non-inductive or slightly inductive loads, such as resistance furnaces. These contactors feature an advanced electronic coil interface capable of handling a wide control voltage range (Uc min. to Uc max.). With just four coil variants, they cover control voltages from 24 to 500 V AC (50/60 Hz) and 20 to 500 V DC, offering flexibility for global applications without the need to change coils.
AF contactors are equipped to handle significant control voltage fluctuations and include built-in surge protection, eliminating the need for additional surge suppressors. The AF series 4-pole contactors come in a compact block-type design and include four normally open (4 N.O.) main poles. They support front and side-mounted add-on auxiliary contact blocks. The auxiliary contacts are mechanically linked, meeting the requirements of Annex L of IEC 60947-5-1, with N.C. mirror contacts conforming to Annex F of IEC 60947-4-1. The control circuit is compatible with both AC and DC operation, and a wide selection of accessories is available to enhance installation and functionality.
