AF12 contactors are designed for controlling power circuits up to 690 V AC and 220 V DC. They are primarily used for managing 3-phase motors and non-inductive or slightly inductive loads. These contactors feature an advanced electronic coil interface that supports a broad control voltage range (Uc min to Uc max). Just four coil variants are needed to cover voltages between 24…500 V AC (50/60 Hz) or 20…500 V DC, making them suitable for use worldwide without the need to change coils. AF contactors efficiently handle wide voltage fluctuations and come with integrated surge protection, eliminating the need for additional suppressors. The AF series 1-stack, 3-pole contactors have a block-type construction and include three main poles and one built-in auxiliary contact. They also support front and side-mounted add-on auxiliary contact blocks. The auxiliary contacts are mechanically linked, in accordance with Annex L of IEC 60947-5-1, and feature N.C. mirror contacts compliant with Annex F of IEC 60947-4-1. These contactors are compatible with both AC and DC control circuits and can be paired with a wide range of accessories to meet various application needs.
