The AF16 4-pole contactors are engineered for controlling power circuits up to 690 V AC and 440 V DC. They are ideally suited for managing non-inductive or slightly inductive loads, such as resistance furnaces. These contactors feature an electronic coil interface that supports a broad control voltage range (Uc min. to Uc max.), allowing for flexible operation. Just four coil variants cover all control voltages from 24 to 500 V AC (50/60 Hz) and 20 to 500 V DC, enabling global compatibility without the need for coil replacement.
AF contactors are designed to handle significant control voltage fluctuations and include integrated surge protection, eliminating the need for external suppressors. The AF series 4-pole contactors are of a block-type design and include four normally open (4 N.O.) main poles. They support the addition of auxiliary contact blocks on both the front and side. These auxiliary contacts are mechanically linked in accordance with Annex L of IEC 60947-5-1, and include N.C. mirror contacts compliant with Annex F of IEC 60947-4-1. The control circuit operates on either AC or DC, and a wide range of compatible accessories is available to support diverse applications.
