AF30 contactors are designed for controlling power circuits up to 690 V AC and 220 V DC, primarily used for operating 3-phase motors and non-inductive or slightly inductive loads. They feature an electronic coil interface that supports a wide control voltage range (Uc min…Uc max), with just four coils covering 24…500 V AC (50/60 Hz) and 20…500 V DC. This allows AF contactors to handle significant voltage fluctuations, enabling a single coil to be used globally without the need for replacement. Integrated surge protection eliminates the need for external suppressors. The AF series 1-stack, 3-pole contactors follow a block-type design and support easy extension with front and side-mounted auxiliary contact blocks. These auxiliary contacts include mechanically-linked contacts compliant with Annex L of IEC 60947-5-1 and N.C. mirror contacts as per Annex F of IEC 60947-4-1. The control circuit can operate on AC or DC, and a wide range of compatible accessories is available for added versatility.
