The AF38 4-pole contactors are designed for controlling power circuits up to 690 V AC and 440 V DC. They are primarily used for managing non-inductive or slightly inductive loads, such as resistance furnaces. These contactors feature an advanced electronic coil interface that supports a wide control voltage range (Uc min. to Uc max.). With just four coil variants, they cover control voltages from 24 to 500 V AC (50/60 Hz) and 20 to 500 V DC, allowing for global use without changing coils.
AF contactors are engineered to handle significant control voltage fluctuations and include integrated surge protection, eliminating the need for external suppressors. The AF series 4-pole contactors follow a block-type design and feature 2 normally open (N.O.) and 2 normally closed (N.C.) main poles. They support both front and side-mounted auxiliary contact blocks. The auxiliary contacts are mechanically linked, in compliance with Annex L of IEC 60947-5-1, and the N.C. mirror contacts meet Annex F of IEC 60947-4-1 standards.
These contactors are suitable for AC or DC operated control circuits and are compatible with a wide range of available accessories, making them adaptable for various applications.
