AF38 4-pole contactors are designed for controlling power circuits up to 690 V AC and 440 V DC, primarily used for switching non-inductive or slightly inductive loads such as resistance furnaces. These contactors feature an advanced electronic coil interface that supports a wide control voltage range—from 24 to 500 V AC (50/60 Hz) and 20 to 500 V DC—covered by just four coil variants. This allows a single coil to handle diverse voltage levels used worldwide without the need for coil replacement. AF contactors are capable of managing significant control voltage fluctuations and include built-in surge protection, eliminating the need for external surge suppressors. The AF series 4-pole contactors are of block-type design and come equipped with four normally open (N.O.) main poles. They also support the addition of front and side-mounted auxiliary contact blocks, with mechanically linked auxiliary contacts compliant with Annex L of IEC 60947-5-1, and N.C. mirror contacts in accordance with Annex F of IEC 60947-4-1. Suitable for both AC and DC control circuits, the AF38 contactors are compatible with a wide range of accessories, offering flexibility and reliability in various industrial applications.
