The UA30-30-10RA 400-415V 50Hz / 415-440V 60Hz is a 3-pole contactor designed for capacitor switching applications, capable of handling peak currents exceeding 100 times the nominal RMS current. It comes equipped with damping resistors and must be used without additional inductances. To ensure safe operation, capacitors must be fully discharged (maximum residual voltage at terminals ≤ 50V) before re-energizing. The contactor offers high electrical durability, rated at 250,000 operating cycles for Ue < 500V and 100,000 cycles for 500V ≤ Ue ≤ 690V. Featuring a specialized front-mounted block, it integrates three damping resistors in series to limit inrush currents during capacitor bank energization while enabling precharging to reduce secondary current peaks. This design effectively mitigates high inrush currents, ensuring stable and reliable performance. The UA..RA series follows a block-type construction with 3 main poles, 1 built-in auxiliary contact, an AC-operated control circuit with a laminated magnet, and compatibility with a wide range of accessories.
